A Palestinian State

The Guardian reports that Ireland and Spain plan to officially recognize a Palestinian state.

"Ireland and Spain are expected to announce plans to formally recognise a Palestinian state on Wednesday, according to multiple reports, amid warnings from Israel that recognition will 'fuel extremism and instability.'"

Apparently, a lot of European countries have already, or are ready to do the same.

Where is this state? Do they mean Gaza? It has been under autonomous control by the PA for many years.

Also, it's ironic that everyone in the world is eager to recognize a state that the Palestinians themselves don't seem to want. There were many opportunities to create a Palestinian state over the past several decades. All offers were rejected because the existence of the state of Israel is a dealbreaker for them.

They don't want a state side by side with Israel, they want Israel not to exist. That's what "From the river to the sea" means.
